Revelstoke: From Sun to Snow

Kaitlin Fulmore
Revelstoke is an all-season destination brimming with adventure and endless possibilities.

Revelstoke, nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s rugged mountains, is a destination that transforms with each passing season, offering something unique and magical year-round. So what can you expect living or visiting each season?

Winter.
Winter in Revelstoke is nothing short of legendary. Blanketed in some of the deepest, driest powder snow in the world, it’s a paradise for skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobilers. Revelstoke Mountain Resort boasts North America’s greatest vertical drop, while nearby backcountry terrain attracts adventure seekers from all over. Beyond the slopes, residents and visitors alike can enjoy the vibrant downtown core full of restaurants, retail shops and local spas.

Spring.
As the snow begins to melt, valley fog lifts and days become longer, Revelstoke undergoes a dramatic transformation. Spring brings milder temperatures and the opportunity for multi-sport days—skiing in the morning and mountain biking, climbing or golfing in the afternoon.  Spring is a popular time amongst locals who enjoy the variety of outdoor opportunities available.

Summer.
Summer is like winter’s underrated sibling—less famous, but just as full of incredible experiences! Long, sunny days are perfect for hiking, biking, and climbing in the valley bottom and alpine alike.  Lake Revelstoke comes alive with paddleboarders and boaters, while downtown Revelstoke buzzes with the weekly farmers’ markets, live music, and community events.

Fall.
Fall brings cooler temperatures and a slower pace, offering a perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and friends. Adventure seekers can still enjoy mountain biking and hiking, while the town hosts popular events like the Luna Nocturnal Art & Wonder Festival, Revelstoke Garlic Fest, and Revelstoke Bike Fest.

No matter the season, Revelstoke is a place of endless adventure and opportunity. From powder-filled winters to sun-soaked summers, each season offers its own reason to fall in love with this mountain paradise.
